Paula Letsche is the Spanish teacher. Ms. Letsche was a Spanish major at Wartburg College. She has taught in Decorah and Oelwein.

¡Bienvenidos!
Overview
The Spanish program at St. Paul's began in the fall of 2003 in response to numerous parents who believed it was important for their children to learn a foreign language at a young age. In Spanish classes we learn basic vocabulary and a little bit about the culture of Spanish speaking people. Starting in first grade we build on what has been learned in previous years. In kindergarten through fifth grade the focus is on building vocabulary. In sixth grade the emphasis is on storytelling.
Announcements
¡Fiesta! On Friday, June 4th, students in kindergarten through 6th grade went to Phelps Youth Pavilion in Waterloo. The students were able to explore both of the permanent junior galleries and the temporary ¡Fiesta! exhibit. In addition the students created a faux amate bark painting. ¡Fiesta! celebrates the major holidays and cultural events of Mexico. In preparation of our trip all of the students learned about some cultural aspects of Mexico and prepared a Mexican art project.
