Senior High Youth

St. Paul's Lutheran Church offers a variety of events to help young people grow in faith, community and service. Join us on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings to hear about all that is going on with the senior high youth. All are welcome.

Girls of Grace

A new girls devotional group has begun at St. Paul’s. The group is being led by Chelsea Weigmann and Nicole Beer, both elementary education majors at Wartburg College. The girls devotional group will be meeting on Sunday afternoons at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for the next eight weeks. The group will focus on teen issues such as female imagery, self esteem, friendships, dating, relationships, and spiritual discipline.  The girls plan to meet weekly, do some journaling, and plan a couple “just for fun” activities.

Upcoming Events

Dinner Theater  February 19
The senior high youth are hosting a dinner and a show Feb. 19th at 5:00 p.m.  Youth are needed to perform in the play, help with props, run lights, wait on tables, and help with child care.  Get involved and have fun with other youth putting on a fun show for the folks at St. Paul's.  Proceeds from the night will benefit the youth triip to the National Youth Gathering next summer.

Easter Breakfast  April 8
The high school youth will be preparing a delicious Easter breakfast for St. Paul's.  Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.  Enjoy a home cooked meal and support the youth mission trip to the National Youth Gathering next summer as well.

2012 Lutheran Youth Gathering  July 16-23
Over 40,000 Lutheran youth and adults from across the country will descend on New Orleans for the 2012 Lutheran Youth Gathering and five days of worship, music, Bible study, service, learning, play, prayer, witness, reflection, and new friendships.  The Gathering will be a time of change and growth, and deepening awareness of God's call to servanthood. Three unique days are planned for our time in New Orleans, including a service project in the city, a day at the gathering interactive center, and a day of group building and learning with other youth groups.

WIYLDE  July 28-August 1
It's a week at Luther College with other youth focused on faith, leadership, worship, and play.  Join the WIYLDE bunch and put your faith into action!
