Autumn Festival
November 2009
It was a perfect day for St. Paul's Autumn Festival. Lots of sunshine made for a nice warm afternoon of outdoor fun.
Families gathered at the home of Jerrod and Kari Staack. There were plenty of oak leaves to rake, and kids and parents got right to work in making a huge leaf pile to play in. The kids also enjoyed a hayride through the woods. Everyone piled onto the hayrack for a fun slow ride pulled by a tractor. The rides were such a hit that there must have been two or three more trips before the evening ended.
There were plenty of other fun activities going on around the Staack's yard too. The little ones got to decorate pumpkins and take home their freshly painted creations. A giant bonfire lit up the night down by the trampoline. And everyone found time to gather around the smaller campfire up by the house, to roast marshmallows and s'mores, and warm up a bit as the evening cooled off. It was a relaxing afternoon of family fun, and we are planning on another one next fall!
