Donations help purchase supplies, SPARK Bibles, and support registration.

Student/Families

Cost is $25 per student, up to max of $50 per family.

Print out the covenant, sign it with your students, and return it to the church office.

St. Paul's Wednesday Ministries

The start of the 2011-12 school year is not far off, and St. Paul’s is planning an expanded after school program and confirmation program because of earlier dismissal time on Wednesdays. It’s Saints Alive.

We are stocking our craft/supply closet for Sunday School and Saints Alive and could use the following items:

Bus transportation to St. Paul's

St. Paul's Lutheran School will be a regular bus stop for Waverly-Shell Rock this year. If you register your student for classes at the public schools, you can specify St. Paul's as the dropoff location for your student on Wednesdays.

You can participate.

The goal of Saints Alive is to celebrate God’s gracious presence at a new time with Scripture, with safe, enriching, faith-based activity times, and bringing our community together in fellowship and in new worship.

Students from preschool through eighth grade can participate in Saints Alive. For preschool through fifth grade students, the program includes worship, snacks, Bible-based games, stories, activities and crafts. The program runs from 2:45-4:30, and choirs meet from 4:30-5:00. For students not picked up at 4:30, supervision will be provided until 5:00. Confirmation classes (grades 6-8) encourage students to grow in faith through study, worship, witness, question, and compassion.

Saints Alive runs through May 23, 2012.

You can help.

Each week, Saints Alive needs 20+ volunteers to provide the best quality programming for our students. Volunteer in one or two areas such as core teacher, occasional helper in class or with games, in preparing snacks and assisting at the supper or at worship.

Donations are welcome! They will help us purchase, snacks, supplies, support registration costs and purchase additional Spark Bibles for our classrooms.

You can pray.

Lead your family in daily prayer for God to bless St. Paul’s ministries. Just start by taking moment each day to join hands, close eyes and say: Lord, bless us, our schools and our church.

Pray that children and families will be blessed by St. Paul’s new Wednesday programming.
Pray for inspired leadership, and willing servants to staff Saints Alive.

2:00-2:45 :: Activities for students from St. Paul’s School
2:45 :: Arrival of bussed Waverly-Shell Rock students for class and confirmation.
2:45-4:30 :: Worship, snack, learning and game times for all students.
4:30-5:00 :: Cherub, Friends of the Lord, and confirmation choirs
4:30-5:15 :: Supervised after-program study time in social room.
4:30-5:30 :: Meal program for families.
